I'm a 3D artist working on Electronic Arts mobile title Design Home, where I’ve had the opportunity to create a wide variety of assets over the years. These are some of my favorite decor pieces that I have created for our players. Each asset is live in-game and has been purchased by our players, which is always incredibly rewarding to see.
Because Design Home is a mobile game, I work within specific technical limits—typically 2K texture maps and strict poly counts depending on the asset type. These constraints have pushed me to be more creative and efficient, and I’ve grown a lot as an artist because of it.
Hours spent per asset, which includes asset integration into Unity for the game:
-4 hours on less complicated
-8 hours for the most complicated
-4-6 hours is my average.
